Race Code is a seemingly interactive computer installation reflecting on our relation to ourselves and our position in our community, nation, and our so called race. The visitor enters the exhibition space full of projections of earlier visitor’s portraits. ”Race Code” computer programme takes a photo of the visitor and calculates based on their facial characters whether they belong to ”lower” or ”higher” race, placing the photo accordingly among the others. In reality, the rules behind the calculations are totally imaginary.
